Client Q&A
1. What is your favorite season?I absolutely LOVE the fall. There is something about the smell of the crisp air, falling leaves, and all of the fun activities that just get me excited. Every year we visit a fair, go pumpkin and apple picking. In the month of October, there is always freshly made applesauce and either apple crisp, baked apples, apple pie, or apple cobbler in our house. Yum!
2. What is in your handbag?
I have a mild obsession with chapstick. I ALWAYS have at least 3 kinds of chapstick in my purse. Nowadays, I almost always have dried fruit at the bottom of my bag or crushed pretzels for those “emergency snack” situations in the grocery store with my kids. Lastly, I have to have tissues in there somewhere. I find that I always need them when I don’t have them…so they stay in there. Other than that, it’s all pretty run-of-the-mill: keys, wallet, sunglasses.
3. Coffee or tea?
Definitely coffee. When I was first pregnant, I got sick at even the smell of coffee. That was a sad time for me.
4. Besides your children, what has your greatest accomplishment been thus far?
It’s hard to say…Having my girls was definitely WAY up there so it’s hard to find a runner-up. Marrying my husband and being this happy and in love after 9 years is definitely up there, too.
If I narrow it down to the past year or two, I can say that my greatest accomplishment has been really devoting time and energy to my sewing and being able to open up my own shop on Etsy. I never would have imagined doing it even two years ago and yet, here I am. I just love sewing and it’s a great outlet for me. I really enjoy creating my own designs and seeing the fruits of my labor on the web.
5. What are your favorite blogs or websites you visit?
I am constantly on sewing and crafting sites. I really don’t know if I have a favorite. There are so many that are useful, creative, and ingenious. There are some amazing people out there!
6. If you could plan the perfect family day, what would it be?
Honestly, the perfect day with my family involves a lot of lazing around. We’d probably snuggle in our pjs until about 10, eat a BIG breakfast that involves bacon and pancakes, and then just spend the rest of the day in each other’s company: reading, playing games, etc. I just love cuddling and being with my girls and my husband as much as possible.
I love these! Beautiful job!
