I got it all wrong. Either I've changed or maybe I've finally realized what it's all about. I want you to know that RIGHT NOW we should celebrate you because you are ALREADY all you need to be. You don't have to achieve more, or be any more than you already are to be amazing. I love photographing high school seniors because it's not photography attached to a defining life role (spouse, parent, career move) it's about the essence of who you really are in this moment. It's about you and only you.

I believe that when you can love who you really are, you are free in a way. Free from worrying about proving yourself. You know how I know this? Remember that time I showed you the back of my camera? You said, "What! that's me?" I said, "Girl that's really you, that is how amazing you are. Believe it and look right here into my lens and let that truth shine." And then we got the very best picture of you. You looking so you, so free. Isn't that the most beautiful way to be?
