I think that the element that makes my photography shine apart from other portraiture is how I truly work hard at capturing the essence of a person. Not just what they look like in amazing lighting and a stylish outfit, but who they are on the inside. Over the years in specializing in high school seniors and college graduates, I've developed a method to get to know the core personality, hopes and dreams of my clients in order to create the most authentic portrait of a unique individual. My method involves an in-depth questionnaire, dream style consultation, and then reminding the client of all of their qualities while I photograph them. It takes trust, time, creativity and a little bit of vulnerability on the part of my subject for being willing to share their heart with me.  The result is always worth the effort.
