I offer families who book their senior portrait session with me the opportunity to get family or sibling portraits done as well. If your senior doesn't mind sharing the stage, we can do some family portraits at the same time we meet for senior portraits. If your high school senior wants the experience all to themselves because they want many outfit changes for their session and a gallery of 40 images just of them, it's probably a better idea to schedule a separate family portrait. If you aren't sure if you should schedule at the same time, we can talk about your hopes and your seniors hopes and find a perfect solution. 

I've occasionally been asked if I still take family portraits of all aged families (babies, young kids, etc.). Since I specialize in senior portraits & their families- that really is enough to keep my schedule full. As an artist, I follow the rule of following my bliss. This stage of life is very meaningful to me and I love creating portraits for families at this pivotal moment.

I've never ever heard of anyone who regrets having professional family portraits done. It's always a good idea. Your senior may not treasure these family portraits now but they will someday. It's a gift you can give them now that will only become more treasured over the years.  

Even for those parents who don't love their portrait, trust me, you will like a professional portrait so much more than a non-professional photo and you will actually do something with the picture. Family deserves to be framed. A loving portrait adds so much comfort to a home and hearts. 

I am not sure there is anything I love more than portraits of my own children. I highly recommend taking the time to capture siblings together at this momentous stage in life. I've had parents tell me that they've seen an improvement in their kids affection for one another by seeing their sibling portrait of them smiling at each other. What could be better than that in life?
